Crowns & Bridges
Let BDC Restore Your Dental Health!
Complimentary Crown or Bridge Consultation
Cracked, damaged, or missing teeth? A crown or bridge may offer the solution you need to restore your smile and dental health. As with most decisions that affect your overall health, you probably have questions!
A no charge bridge or crown consultation is your opportunity to meet with our dentists and learn more about available treatments, sedation or pain managements options, and what we can accomplish for your unique needs.
During your consultation, we can:
- Review your dental and medical history
- Perform an oral exam and take X-rays
- Discuss possible treatment options
- Review your insurance information and estimated costs
- Explain what each procedure involves and what they can achieve
- Discuss sedation options
Because there are several types of crowns available, BDC dentists will evaluate several factors and recommend which options would work best for you.
At Brewer Dental Center, crown and bridge consultations are offered at no charge. You are not obligated to receive a procedure just because you had a consultation with us – this meeting is strictly informative and designed, Just for You! After your consultation, you are welcome to schedule a follow up appointment to begin your treatment at a time that is most convenient for you!
**Complimentary consultation applies to the initial visit only. Consultation is not a guarantee of treatment at the time of consultation.
Crowns are a cosmetic restoration used to strengthen a tooth or improve its shape. Crowns are most often used for teeth that are broken, worn, or partially destroyed by tooth decay.
Crowns are “cemented” onto an existing tooth and fully cover the portion of your tooth above the gum line. The crown becomes your tooth’s new outer surface. Crowns can be made of porcelain, metal, or both. Porcelain crowns are most often preferred because they mimic the translucency of natural teeth and are very strong.
Crown or onlays (also called partial crowns) are needed when the tooth is not strong enough to hold a filling. Unlike fillings which apply the restorative material directly into your mouth, a crown is made outside of your mouth in a dental lab. Your crown is created in a lab from your unique tooth impression which allows a dental technician to examine all aspects of your bite and jaw movements. Your crown is then sculpted just for you so that your bite and jaw movements function normally once the crown is placed.
A bridge may be used to replace missing teeth, help maintain the shape of your face, and alleviate stress on your bite.
A bridge replaces missing teeth with artificial teeth, looks great, and literally bridges the gap where one or more teeth may have been. Your bridge can be made of gold, alloys, porcelain, or a combination of these materials, and is bonded into surrounding teeth for support.
The success of any bridge depends on its foundation – the other teeth, gums, or bone to which it is attached. Therefore, it is very important to keep your existing teeth, gums, and jaw healthy and strong.
